Crepey Eyes, Tear Trough, Eye Bags, Dark Circles

Eye problems are usually complex and multifactorial and can affect people of any age. Dark circles usually form due to pigmentation and/or blood vessels showing through from beneath the skin, or by shadows formed due to volume loss. They are sometimes accompanied by puffiness around the eyes. Eye bags can be due to excess of fluid, or fat pad herniation. Tear troughs are usually due to loss of volume from loss of fat and bone resorption in the area. A lot of the problems we encounter are genetic. Ageing can also play its part as the skin loses collagen with age, resulting in crepey skin worsened by rubbing the eyes.
